The story of Kirane

Karine Naly discovered India in 2017 and fell in love with its artisans and their ancestral know-how. This passion led her to divide her time between Jaipur and Paris with her partner, Bhanu Singh. Together, they founded Kirane, a brand that embodies their shared vision of ethical and sustainable craftsmanship.

Thanks to her passion for decor and her respect for traditions, Karine designs authentic textile collections, entirely handmade in family workshops in India.

THE MOVIE KIRANE

THE MOVIE

From our workshop in India to the meticulous art of block printing, this video tells the story of our creations and of those who bring them to life.

The creation of Kirane

In 2018, Karine and Bhanu decided to create their own manufacturing workshop, Villa Kirane. Our goal: to preserve Indian craftsmanship while offering a respectful and ethical working environment to our employees. By paying fairly and ensuring good working conditions, we have created a unique, sustainable, and solidarity-based model.

Each piece is made by our salaried artisans in dignified and respectful working conditions. We also collaborate with small businesses and family workshops specializing in Block Print, guaranteeing traditional and ethical know-how. This unique artisanal mastery reflects our commitment to responsible, sustainable production that respects people and the planet.

Commitment to women

One of our priorities is to promote women's work in a country where women do not always have their place.

At Villa Kirane, we strive to offer women an opportunity to flourish professionally, strengthen their independence, and actively participate in the development of local crafts.

RESPONSIBLE CREATIONS

At Kirane, ecological awareness guides each of our creations. We prioritize natural pigments for printing and use natural materials (cotton, silk, linen) while producing in small quantities to limit environmental impact. Our ephemeral capsule collections avoid overstocking.

Thanks to our own manufacturing workshop, we reduce textile waste by transforming fabric scraps into pouches, kits, or glasses cases, thus promoting responsible and sustainable manufacturing.

A shared passion for craftsmanship

Karine and Bhanu are deeply passionate about Indian craftsmanship, a field they consider a true cultural treasure. Through KIRANE, they wish to promote Indian know-how internationally, combining modernity and tradition in unique and authentic collections.
